A ‘Good’ graded Ofsted school located in Preston are looking to appoint an additional 3 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants for October 2021 starts. These roles are all full time & part time, and long-term roles for the entire academic year.
The Head Teacher is looking to fill the following 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant posts:
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Two children with Autism (ASD) in Year 6
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – One Year 4 boy with severe Autism (ASD)
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need to be resilient and nurturing to help this child flourish. This opportunity would be ideal for a psychology or sociology graduate looking to gain a FULL ACADEMIC YEAR of hands on experience before going on to Teacher Training or a master’s degree.
Due to the severity of the child’s needs, building a strong relationship with them will be key to make sure he achieves his full potential.

PERSON SPECIFICATION – 1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT
Degree from a reputable University is desirable, but not essential
Must have a genuine passion for SEN particularly Autism
You must be confident, and committed to the role
You must be able to work within a large support team
