Safeguarding in Education

M2 Educations’ priority with every candidate we send out to an educational setting is making sure they are vetted to the very highest standards.

As members of APSCo, and holders of the Compliance+ Accreditation, our Safeguarding policy is fully compliant with their guidelines and consists of the following checks:

  • A face-to-face interview

  • NCTL & Prohibition checks

  • 10 years of employment history with no gaps

  • Professional references covering a minimum of the last 2 years

  • ID checks including eligibility to work in the UK

  • Proofs of address

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered to the online update service

  • ISA Barred check

  • Qualification verification

  • Signed criminal declaration form

  • Medical history declaration

  • Overseas police check or letter of good conduct (if applicable)

  • Child protection code of conduct

  • Safeguarding Level 1

When a candidate is booked in, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and a passport photo attached. The email confirmation outlines the candidates’ details and a list of all the checks we have carried out including their DBS number.

This is with reference to the Dfe guidelines from the publication “Safeguarding Children and Safer Children Recruitment in Education” which came into force on the 1st January 2008.
